The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) Chairperson Roseline Odede has died.
She passed away due to a short illness on 3rd January 2025.
The news was shared by Dr. Raymond Nyeris, the Vice Chairperson of KNCHR.

It is with shock and deep sorrow that I inform you of the demise of Roseline Odhiambo Odede, HSC, Chairperson of the National Commission on Human Rights, that happened yesterday, Friday 3rd January 2025 after a short illness.
Dr. Raymond stated.
Her untimely death is a big blow to the commission and Nation at large. As a commission we had the privilege of serving with Roseline Odede as the Chairperson at the helm of the KNCHR’s leadership.
The Vice Chairperson added.
The commission sent their heartfelt condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family, friends and all those who knew Roseline.
May the memories of her exceptional service bring comfort and strength in this difficult time.
The commission further stated.

Odede was great in serving for the commission and fighting for the human rights.
Her death will be a huge blow to the commission.
The funeral plans have not yet been announced.
