Kindiki Rejects Narrative of Tension Between President Ruto and MP Ng’eno

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has dismissed reports suggesting that the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno had a frosty relationship with William Ruto.

Addressing mourners on Wednesday, March 4, during Ng’eno’s requiem mass, Kindiki affirmed that the deceased lawmaker maintained a cordial relationship with the President and remained firmly in his corner.

He recalled a past engagement they attended together, where Ng’eno advised him shortly after his appointment as Deputy President.

“He told me that if I wanted to succeed, I must stand behind President Ruto and support him to deliver for Kenya. So, if anybody had any doubt that the late Johana Ng’eno was a friend and supporter of the President, that doubt must be removed today through the witness statement that I am providing,” Kindiki stated.

According to Kindiki, the MP urged him to fully back President Ruto if he wished to succeed in his new role.

The Deputy President emphasized that any speculation casting doubt on Ng’eno’s loyalty to the Head of State should be put to rest, insisting that the late MP was both a friend and a steadfast supporter of the President.

Kindiki paid glowing tribute to the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, hailing him as a modest yet dedicated leader who remained focused on serving his constituents.

Kindiki observed that Ng’eno’s intellect, sharp wit, and leadership abilities were often underestimated by many.

The Deputy President assured residents of Emurua Dikirr that the national government would see through the development projects initiated and envisioned by their late MP.

He also revealed that the government would meet the burial expenses for Ng’eno and the five other individuals who lost their lives in the helicopter crash.
