Keziah Nyambura Macharia, the woman who had an unusual stomach swelling, has died.
Comedian Eric Omondi shared the news of the woman’s death on his social media account.
The comedian revealed that she unfortunately passed away days after undergoing a successful surgery.
“My heart is heavy. We did all we could. Kenyan sent money, and our sister Keziah Nyambura even had a successful surgery on Tuesday. We have lost her. The system failed her!!! How many more must we lose? Thank you. Team Sisi Kwa Sisi. You did your part,” he wrote.

The 41-year-old, mother of three, needed help to undergo surgery at Kenya National Hospital for a strange stomach swelling.
The strange illness began in 2020 as a small bulge, which Keziah initially thought was pregnant.
After frequent hospital visits, the cause was identified as a uterine swelling requiring surgery.
The small bulge grew into a large mass, making it hard for her to walk and even impacting her ability to care for her family, which forced her children to stay with their grandmother.
