The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has declined releasing interview letters to individuals.
In a notice on Thursday, March 26, KeRRA cautioned the public of fraudulent letters claiming to have shortlisted applicants for interviews.
According to the authority, the letters were fake and did not originate from them.
They therefore wanted job seekers not to make any payment to individuals or entities claiming to facilitate interviews or recruitment.
“KeRRA wishes to notify the public about fake letters that falsely claim applicants have been shortlisted for interviews and require payment in advance,” KeRRA stated.
“These letters are fake and part of a scam. Do not make any payment to any individual or entity claiming to facilitate interviews or recruitment with KeRRA,” the authority adds.
In the fraudulent letter, an applicant was asked to make payments before the interview was conducted, an action that KeRRA unequivocally rejected.
However, the authority maintained that it does not require any payment during recruitment or the interview.
It clarified that no payments should be made under any circumstance.
The authority emphasised that official communications are issued only through its formal channels, including its website and verified social media pages.
It further urged the public to report any suspicious letters, messages, or individuals requesting payment for job opportunities.
