Kericho County Assembly has suspended four MCAs who were reportedly caught on CCTV stoning the governor’s office.
The incident reportedly took place on August 15 during the impeachment process of Governor Eric Mutai.
The four suspended members are Kapsaos MCA Paul Bii, along with nominated members Irene Chebet, Noela Opile, and Fancy Korir.
In the CCTV footage, the MCAs were seen throwing stones and damaging property at the governor’s office, located just 500 meters from the county assembly.
The MCA’s have therefore been punished and banned from attending proceedings for 90 days.
Others on the hand were asked to issue an apology to the committee.
