Kenyan band Sauti Sol has announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated SolFest Pre-Party in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The announcement, made by Serena Hotels and SolFest Management on Tuesday, November 18, explained that the event could not proceed due to factors that would prevent the organisers from delivering the high-quality experience associated with SolFest.
According to the organisers, recent developments made it difficult to guarantee a seamless event, prompting the decision to cancel.

They emphasised that the comfort, safety, and overall experience of attendees remain their top priority.
SolFest Management also confirmed that the reimbursement process has already begun and that each ticket holder will receive direct communication with details on their refund.
“Serena Hotels and SolFest Management wish to inform our valued guests, partners and fans that the SolFest Pre-Party Tanzania 2025, scheduled for 22 November 2025 at the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel, has been cancelled. This decision follows thoughtful consultations and a review of recent developments that affect our ability to deliver the seamless experience our audiences expect and deserve. Ensuring the comfort, safety and overall quality of every SolFest moment remains our top priority,” the statement read.
Despite the cancellation, the SolFest team conveyed their appreciation for the strong support they have received from their Tanzanian community.
They noted that the enthusiasm from fans, artists, and partners has not gone unnoticed and expressed gratitude for the understanding shown throughout the process.
