Kenya Police Bullets FC Shoot 2-0 Past Kibera Soccer Women FC

In a highlight of the Kenya Women Premier League, Kenya Police Bullets FC triumphed over Kibera Soccer Women FC with a score of 2-0.

The match lived up to its top-of-the-table stature and kicked off in a tense atmosphere from both sides. Kibera Soccer Women, known for their impressive passing game, started strong in the early minutes but posed less of a threat as they failed to create significant chances.

On the other hand, Police Bullets FC relied on a transitional play with a speedy attack, utilizing their quick offensive players. This strategy paid off as they earned several corner kicks. In the 33rd minute, Emily Moranga delivered a well-taken corner that Diana Wacera capitalized on with a powerful header, giving the law enforcers the lead.

Kibera came close to equalizing in the 42nd minute after a quick attack led by Stella Adhiambo, but goalkeeper Annedy Kundu was in the right position to make a critical save, keeping her team ahead as they entered halftime.

After the break, the Kibera-based side made two tactical changes, while Police Bullets FC was forced to substitute midfielder Lorna Nyaride due to injury.

Wacera nearly scored another goal but was denied by Kibera’s goalkeeper, Vivian Shiyonzo. She managed to pounce on the rebound but unfortunately shot over the bar.

In the 87th minute, substitute Rebecca Okwaro sealed the match with a one-on-one attack, calmly slotting the ball in and extending her tally to 12 goals, positioning her at the top of the scoring chart.

With this victory, Kenya Police Bullets FC extended their lead in the table to four points over Kibera Soccer Women FC, who remain in second place, although they have a match in hand.
