Jude Bellingham Red-carded as Real Madrid Draw 1-1 with Osasuna

Jude Bellingham was shown a straight red card after a confrontation with the referee as Real Madrid was held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna.

The England international was dismissed via a straight red card just before the break with Los BlancMadrid os leading 1-0 in Pamplona.

Referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero sent Bellingham off for just the second time in his Real Madrid career after a flashpoint between the pair following an Osasuna free kick.

Bellingham appeared to persistently speak to Montero as play restarted and the official eventually pulled out a red card.

Bellingham explained himself at full time, claiming the interpretation in Spanish of what he said in English, was not correctly understood.

Jude Bellingham: “I did NOT say anything BAD to the referee. It’s clear that there was a communication error”.

Kylian Mbappe put Madrid ahead in the 15th minute on Saturday with his 11th goal in as many league games. But Madrid were outnumbered following Bellingham’s red card, apparently for protesting, five minutes before halftime.

The hosts levelled through Budimir as he slotted in the 58th-minute penalty past Thibaut Courtois to unleash celebrations at El Sadar Stadium.

The draw in Pamplona puts Madrid’s league lead in jeopardy.

Ancelotti : “I think the referee did not understand Jude Bellingham’s English. He said f*ck off, not f*ck you… that’s way different. I won’t talk more about the referee as I want to be on the bench next week. Talking to Bellingham? I’ve nothing to say to Jude. I should talk to the referee, not to Jude.”
