Jubilee Party has established an Inter-Party Coalition Building Committee to review the draft agreement for the Ukombozi Alliance (TUA) and explore opportunities for cooperation among opposition parties ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 28, the party announced that the decision was reached during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting chaired by party leader Fred Matiang’i on Tuesday, October 27.
The committee will spearhead engagements with other opposition parties and coalitions to identify areas of common interest and strengthen collaboration ahead of the next general election.

Senator Kembi Gitura will chair the committee, with National Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta and Janet Ong’era serving as members.
The team’s primary responsibilities include reviewing the draft Deed of Agreement for the Ukombozi Alliance and proposing amendments where necessary.
The committee will also engage like-minded opposition parties to explore opportunities for coalition building and develop proposals aimed at strengthening unity and cooperation ahead of the 2027 polls.
Jubilee Party noted that the committee would submit its recommendations to the NEC for consideration and further direction on the party’s next steps.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to dialogue and cooperation among opposition groups, highlighting the importance of building consensus and pursuing a common agenda as political parties prepare for the 2027 General Election.
Jubilee’s membership in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance will also inform its coalition-building engagements as it considers the draft Ukombozi Alliance agreement.
Separately, the NEC approved the appointment of two interim officials to fill vacant positions within the party following nominations made by Matiang’i.
Lucy Naisiae Kashu was appointed Interim Chairperson of the Party Women’s Caucus, while Madina Yunis Mahat was named Interim Deputy National Organizing Secretary.
The appointments will fill the vacant positions as the party continues its internal operations and explores cooperation with other opposition groups ahead of the 2027 General Election.
