Win for Jimi Wanjigi after the High Court barred the state from revoking his firearm license.
The Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and the National Police Service were also barred from arresting the businessman over cases of firearms ownership.
Moreover, the court barred the authorities from pressing further charges against the workers and staff of the businessman, some of whom were arrested alongside him.

Wanjigi’s staff Dancan Odhiambo and Kelvin Ochieng’ were arrested outside the politician’s house in Nairobi over claims of illegal ownership of explosives.
According to Justice Bahati Mwamuye, the detention and charges against the two were marred with illegality and abuse of the law.
The ruling followed the dramatic arrest of the businessman in August last year over the claims of unlawful gun ownership and participating in illegal protests.
He was released on Ksh10 million personal bond following his arrest and ordered to surrender his travel documents including all passports as he awaited the court’s ruling on the matter.
The businessman later released a statement terming his arrest illegal and accused the law enforcement agencies of breaching court orders in effecting his detention.
He moreover accused the government under the leadership of President William Ruto of corruption, indecisiveness in fighting inflation, and the high cost of living.
