Isiolo County Assembly. Mohammed Roba has been nabbed over allegations of attempted murder.
Reports indicate that he was arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday, June 24, at a hotel in Machakos.
After his arrest, he was detained at the Machakos DCI office, where he recorded a statement under the supervision of DCI officer Nzioka Singi.
Roba was later released on Ksh. 100,000 bail and is expected to present himself again at the DCI offices as the investigation continues.
Upon his release, the County Assembly Speaker dismissed the allegations claiming that the arrest was a politically motivated move designed to prevent him from presiding over a critical County Assembly session slated for Thursday, where the impeachment motion against Governor Guyo is set for debate.
