Illegal AK-47 Rifle Voluntarily Surrendered to Police in Isiolo

Police officers in Isiolo County have taken custody of an AK-47 rifle and seven rounds of ammunition after the weapon was voluntarily surrendered by a member of the public.

The National Police Service has welcomed the act of cooperation, noting that voluntary surrender of unauthorised weapons plays a critical role in promoting peace and protecting communities.

The Service continues to encourage anyone who may be in possession of illegal firearms or ammunition to voluntarily present them at the nearest police station.
