Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has promised to honor court summons on the three mysterious disappearances of three men.
This he announced on Tuesday at Diani Kwale County.
The three men were allegedly abducted on 16th December 2024.
The three men namely Justus Mutumwa, Martin Mwau and Karani Muema were reportedly abducted in Mlolongo, Machakos County alongside one abductee Stephen Mbisi.
The IG had ignored the court summons for some days which had been ordered by two different judges alongside the DCI boss Amin Mohammed.
There is no problem with honoring court summons, I will arrive by myself, and I will say the things I am saying here.
IG Douglas said without explaining of when he plans to honor the court summons.
The IG added that investigations are at advanced levels regarding all the reported cases of missing persons.
Whoever will be held responsible should be arrested and taken to court and be arraigned according to the law. That is where we are and by the time we arrest them, we will inform all of you.
IG Kanja further said.
The Inspector General also informed that the NPS is working on digitizing its services so as to curb corruption and improve service delivery.
