The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that all pending by-elections will be conducted on November 27, 2025.
In a gazette notice dated Friday, August 8, 2025, the commission noted that the by-elections are intended to fill all vacant electoral positions.
“All by-elections will be held on November 27, 2025. The gazettement of the by-elections has been scheduled in two batches,” part of the notice read”.
While making the announcement, IEBC urged political parties that intend to participate in the by-elections to submit the names and specimen signatures of the authorised people before Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
“political party intending to present candidates in the by-elections shall, after its party primaries, resolve all intra-party disputes and submit the list of persons nominated to contest in the by-elections to the Commission on or before Thursday, October 2, 2025,” IEBC added.
