Huduma Kenya has announced plans to expand access to government services through a new mobile delivery system aimed at reaching remote communities across the country.
Speaking on Thursday, May 7, Huduma Kenya CEO Ben Chilumo said the agency plans to deploy specially equipped trucks to deliver services directly to residents in hard-to-reach areas.
The mobile units, dubbed Huduma Wheels, will be fitted with the necessary equipment to process various government services on site, reducing the need for citizens to travel long distances to access essential services.

The initiative comes just days after Huduma Kenya unveiled plans to expand public procurement services nationwide as part of efforts to improve accessibility and service delivery.
In a statement issued on April 30, Huduma Kenya said the planned rollout of procurement services follows a partnership with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority aimed at improving accessibility and efficiency in service delivery.
The agency noted that the agreement was reached during a consultative meeting held at the Huduma Kenya Secretariat offices, where the two institutions discussed strategies for bringing procurement services closer to citizens through Huduma Centres nationwide.
According to the statement, the initiative is expected to improve accountability, strengthen compliance with procurement regulations, and make public procurement services more convenient for Kenyans.
Huduma Kenya further stated that the partnership will help enhance transparency and efficiency in the procurement sector while expanding access to services across the country.
Earlier, the government announced plans to increase the number of Huduma Kenya centres across the country to improve access to public services.
Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku said the government is reviewing the status of existing Huduma Centres and exploring ways to expand them beyond the current 59 facilities while improving service delivery capacity.
Ruku noted that Huduma Centres have become a key pillar in delivering efficient one-stop government services to Kenyans nationwide.
