Isabella Leshimporo has been elected as the first female Member of County Assembly in Samburu County.
Isabella was elected as the MCA for Angata Nanyukie Ward during the 27th November 2025 by-elections.
Thid follows the death of the then MCA, Paul Leshimpiro, who was shot dead by bandits in Samburu in 2024.
Isabella was the wife of the former MCA, Paul Leshimpiro, who was killed while being driven home in February 2024.
Her victory was celebrated by her party United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
“Congratulations to Hon. Isabella Leshimpiro on her election as MCA for Angata Nanyokie Ward. We celebrate your well-deserved victory and wish you all the best as you serve the people of Angata Nanyokie and Samburu County at large under the UDA Party,” the party wrote on social media.
