Grace Ekirapa has emotionally opened up about the pain and rejection she says she experienced in church following rumours about her separation from actor Pascal Tokodi.
Speaking candidly about the difficult period in her life, Grace revealed that some church members who had previously celebrated and supported her began treating her differently after reports of the alleged divorce spread online.
According to the former TV presenter, the situation became even more painful when a preacher approached her and informed her that certain members of the congregation were uncomfortable with her continuing to serve on the pulpit because of her marital situation.

Grace said the experience left her heartbroken, especially because she had always viewed the church as a safe place where people facing challenges could find healing, encouragement, and compassion rather than criticism and judgment.
Using a hospital analogy, she explained that just as sick people go to hospital seeking treatment and recovery, the church should also be a place where individuals dealing with personal struggles receive spiritual healing and support.
Instead, she said she felt even more wounded by the reaction she encountered from some believers, noting that the sudden change in attitude from people who once praised her was difficult to process.
Grace further shared that some individuals who had previously referred to her as a blessing and role model started distancing themselves and viewing her differently once the divorce rumours emerged online.
She described the experience as one of the saddest realities she has faced, adding that it highlighted how quickly people can shift their perception of others during difficult seasons in life.
Grace and Pascal tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in 2020 before later going their separate ways.
Despite the separation rumours that surfaced in early 2024, the two have largely kept details of their relationship private and have maintained a cordial co-parenting relationship while raising their daughter.
