According to the department, the case was immediately escalated following the report, and it is currently working closely with the National Police Service to coordinate search and rescue efforts.
Authorities noted that multiple interventions have already been activated, including active investigations by several police stations handling different leads related to the disappearance.
The case has also been entered into the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS) to ensure structured tracking and coordination across child protection agencies.
In addition, the children’s details and images have been circulated through national child protection networks and “Missing and Found” platforms to widen the search.
Local administrators and Children Officers across various sub-counties have also been engaged to support ground-level tracing efforts, while Charitable Children Institutions have been alerted in case the minors are found or reported within their facilities.
Despite these efforts, the whereabouts of the two children remain unknown, and investigations are still ongoing.
The State Department has called on the public to report any credible information to the nearest police station, Children’s Office, or through the National Child Helpline 116, which is available toll-free.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of children, emphasizing that timely public cooperation is critical in helping reunite missing minors with their families.
