Gor Mahia FC’s last-minute goal ensured them a 2-1 win against Posta Rangers in an electrifying encounter at the Dandora Stadium.
Both the first half and the early minutes of the second half saw less action as both teams played cautiously while maintaining the tempo of the match.
Tables turned when Paul Ochuoga delivered a well-curved cross from the right. Shariff Musa, who was targeted, arrived from the left blind side of the keeper but failed to tap the ball into the net.
Substitute Gedion Bendeka came to the rescue as he calmly and clinically powered home at the near post to grant K’Ogalo the opening goal.
Posta Rangers equalised in the 84th minute from a defensive error as Felix Oluoch pounced on a miss clearance from Alphonce Omija and slotted in. Postar’s goalkeeper,Bixente Otieno had delivered a wonderful drop kick.
Right at the stoppage time, Alphonce Omija cleared his name from an earlier error as he scored the winning goal that took the whole stadium into an electric moment.
The defending champions are now placed in the third position with 31 points.
