Nation Media Group has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The new CEO’s appointment, known as Geoffrey Odundo, will be effective as of April 7 2025.
“NMG board names Geoffrey Odundo as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 7th April 2025”, the statement read.
Odundo will be joining the group’s Editor-in-chief Joe Ageyo where they are expected to lead the group to financial success.
He holds Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Economics from Egerton University and an MBA in strategic management from USIU Africa.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration and Management at the University of Nairobi.
The new Nation Media Group CEO was serving in an advisory role at the Central Provident Fund Board (CPF), a financial service which he joined in May 2024.
Apart from that, he served at several banks in the country with a combined experience of over 30 years as a banker and security exchange market expert.
As a former Nairobi Security Exchanges CEO, Odundo worked for nine years until February 2024, during which he oversaw the expansion of products on offer to investors, including the establishment of the region’s first derivatives market.
