DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua spent his Saturday at the Ngemi Cia Ruraya festival held in Seattle, Washington as he continues with his tour in the United States.
Taking to his socials, the former DP shared images of the marveling festival, which brought together the Gikuyu to celebrate their culture.
“Accompanied by Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, my sister Martha Karua and surrounded by vibrant music and rich cultural heritage, we danced the night away, celebrating our roots and unity.”

The festival drew hundreds from across the US including the politicians and local musicians.
Notably the event was the first edition of the festival to be held abroad, as a series of others have been in the country over the past few years.
Gachagua arrived in the US on July 9, night, marking his first international trip since his removal from office in October 2024.
He is expected to be holding engagements in the states of Texas, California, Washington, Massachusetts and Maryland.
