Faith Mboya was in outstanding form, scoring two goals to lead Kibera Soccer Women to a 2-0 victory over Kisumu All Starlets in the FKF Women Premier League (WPL) match held at Marist International University in Karen.
Kibera started the match strongly, showcasing their ball-playing style, while Kisumu opted to sit back and rely on counterattacks. In the 18th minute, after several attempts at goal, an All Starlets defender handled the ball in the box, resulting in a penalty for Kibera. Faith Mboya stepped up and confidently converted the penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Kibera nearly scored a second goal in the 25th minute. After a series of impressive plays, Maximilla Robi made a run into the defense and found herself in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, she placed her shot just inches wide of the goal post.

Mboya continued her impressive performance and added her second goal of the match in the 42nd minute, giving Kibera a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, All Starlets sought to find an equalizer and later a consolation goal. However, Kibera played cautiously and focused on protecting their lead, and the match ended with a final score of 2-0 in favor of Kibera.
With this victory, Kibera now holds 37 points, four points ahead of Kenya Police, who are in second place and have a game in hand, as they did not play over the weekend.
Additionally, Faith Mboya has increased her goal tally to nine, putting her four goals behind the leading scorer, Rebecca Okwaro of Kenya Police Bullets FC.
