Kenya’s former Chief Justice David Maraga has arrived in Tanzania following opposition leader Tundu Lissu’s court case.
He informed his followers of his arrival on his social media platform X.
“Safely arrived in Dar-es-Salaam. Headed to court for the Tundu Lissu Court Case”, the former CJ wrote on his X account.
Tundu Lissu is the leader of Chadema, Tanzania’s main opposition leader which was charged with treason over an alleged speech calling on Tanzania’s rebel.,
He allegedly not only called on the Tanzanian’s to rebel but also disrupt the country’s presidential and parliamentary election that are scheduled for October 2025.
Furthermore, his party was disqualified from competing in the Tanzania 2025 general election after the National Electoral Commission said it had failed to sign a code of conduct document.
