The Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced the passing of Silas Cheboi, its Assistant Director for Surveillance and Enforcement.
In a statement on August 13, 2026, the authority termed his passing as a huge loss for the organisation.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr Silas Cheboi, Assistant Director, Surveillance & Enforcement at the Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA),” EPRA stated.
“His passing is a profound loss to the Authority, his colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with him”, he added.
The Authority has extended its condolences to everyone affected, acknowledging the emotional toll this loss takes on those close to him.
Additionally, EPRA has confirmed that plans for his burial have already been finalised, giving mourners a clear timeline to prepare for the final send-off.
His body will be laid to rest at his Solian Home in Eldama Ravine, located within Baringo County.
The interment is scheduled for August 15, a day that will bring together family, colleagues, and well-wishers to honour his memory.
