Reality TV star and CEO of Samantha’s bridal show Dr. Catherine Masitsa has proclaimed a controversy that having a TV in the living room reflects a poverty mindset.
This she said in a recent interview with Nailantei Kenga on KTN’s Art of Living show during the tour of her household.
“Having a TV in the sitting room is a poverty mindset. If you are from my world, which means you went to school at the time when I went, TVs are for poor mindsets. Let me say that TVs in your living? Truly is for a very poot mindset” the mother of one said.

Why? Because as a family, if you’re seated in your living room, then you’re supposed to be having elevated conversations. Nobody is coming to your house to watch TV. Just to stay in your home and watch TV? A lot of homes, like this one, have TV rooms, but you still find the with TVs in the living room” she added.
Having no curtains in her home, Masitsa claimed that she does not need any because she has no neighbours nearby.
This sparked a lot of debate online between netizens who reacted as follows:
Liltrendi: What’s this obsession with ‘wealth’?
Luhybeat: I love my life, I am not pretending.
Gustavo: Everybody should live their life.
Popright: She is literally dissing her parents, women.
Bandanafather: Good thing its her opinion.
