Deputy president Kithure Kindiki who has been missing from the public for weeks now resurfaced on Saturday, desmissing rumours of a split between him and his boss president William Ruto.
Speaking during the wedding ceremony of the son of Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano in Tigoni, Kindiki revealed that he has been on holiday and his absence did not have anything to do with claims of division.
”I am left with only a few hours as my holiday is coming to an end. Therefore, I need to enjoy whatever is left. Ignore everything else completely. Just ignore everything else,” Kindiki noted.

He urged Kenyans to stay away from diversionary talks and help the government advance its development agendas to the people of Kenya.
The DP continued to note that after taking some time off, he now feels ready to resume offering his support to his boss in steering the country forward.
”Don’t, don’t fall into the trap of triviality, small things, and small issues. Little things, and so forth. We have a business and am glad the president allowed me a few days off.I feel so energised, and I believe that this is a year that all of us will rally, support the president, and take Kenya to the next level.”
Claims that the DP and his boss are not on good terms emerged after Kindiki, who since taking office in November has been with the Head of State in many major public events, quietly left the public space, making no appearances even for the burial of National Assembly Moses Wetangula’s mother on Friday.
