Four People have been confirmed dead while 56 others injured following an accident involving a bus and a trailed along Londiani-Muhoroni road.
The accident, which involved a Nyaugenya bus operating under Climax Sacco and a trailer, happened near Ogona junction on Monday, February 24, 2025.
According to police reports, the bus, which was heading to Nairobi, deviated from the road and crashed alongside a truck into a sugarcane farm.
The reports also indicated that three female passengers and one male died on the spot, whereas fifty-six others who had sustained injuries were rushed to St. Vincent Mission Hospital, Koru Mission Hospital and Muhoroni Sub-County Hospital.

In addition, four other victims were transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) Kisumu for specialized treatment.
The deceased’s bodies were taken to Vincent de Paul Hospital Mortuary pending identification by next of kin or autopsy.
Following the tragic crash, Kenyans are urged to exercise caution, especially on roads prone to accidents with the growing concerns about road safety.
Recently, three SEKU students died on the spot following a crash into the back of a sand truck.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle was speeding before it crashed into the truck while others suggested that poor visibility and the truck’s position might have contributed to the crash.
