A fire was witnessed on Friday morning at a dormitory at Malava Boys High School in Kakamega County, destroying property of an unknown value.
Reports indicate that the fire broke out at around 5am, gutted a 189-capacity dormitory while students were attending their morning preps.
According to reports, firefighters from Kakamega County rushed to the scene in an attempt to contain the inferno.
The emergency team managed to contain the fire.
As at the time of the report, no injuries were reported.
