The family of renowned gospel DJ Karumba Ngatia alias DJ Krowbar has announced the passing of the Joyce Wanjiru Karumba, the wife of DJ Krowbar.
According to reports, she died in the early hours of Monday morning.
Further reports indicate that Joyce died at 3.00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, following a long illness that she faced with steadfast faith, strength, and courage.
According to the family, she had undergone a kidney transplant in mid-2025, a procedure that initially showed promise before she developed complications later in the year.
However, the family disclosed that Joyce’s health deteriorated again in recent weeks, leading to her re-admission for medical care shortly before her passing.
“While we are deeply saddened by this profound loss, we find comfort knowing she is now at perfect peace,” read part of the statement.
