Details emerge over death of Tabitha Gatwiri amid poisoning claims

Claims about the cause of death of the late Tabitha Gatwiri who was found dead at her home on October 30 have emerged.

According to a source who is close to Gatwiri’s family, when the late was found dead her boyfriend, Dave, was away in Kisumu for work.

Gatwiri is believed to have been involved in an accident early this year with her brother, Brian, in Sagana on their way back from Meru to Nairobi but never went to the hospital for checkups.

After the accident the late Gatwiri refused to go to the hospital for treatment, and some family members claimed she had internal injuries which killed her

“The car rolled over and was written off, but they didn’t go to hospital assuming they had no injuries. Three months after the accident, Gatwiri developed a certain condition like epilepsy. She used to fall badly and have seizures,”

There were claims that content creators was poisoned but the close sources have revealed that was not the case

“She fell when she was alone in the house and that is how she died. She was found dead with blood in her mouth, and her hands were so stiff,” the source said.

 However, after a post-mortem was conducted, it was established that there were two plausible causes of death.

According to the pathologist’s report done at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home, the content creator died from suffocation [Postural asphyxia]

Postural asphyxia typically occurs when a person’s mouth or nose is blocked, or their lungs cannot expand properly.

Gatwiri was found dead by her brother in her home on October 30th.

She was laid to rest in her father’s home in Meru County on November 15th.
