The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) candidate, Furaha Chengo, Ngumbao has stepped down from the party, citing frustrations.
He addressed the matter in a letter on Monday, September 29, 2025, claiming that his reasons for abandoning the party were frustrations with leadership.
“The persistent lack of communication, disregard for grassroots concerns, and failure to provide clear directives have created an environment where aspirants like myself are left to navigate,” he said.
“I hope that future leadership will prioritize transparency, inclusivity, and accountability,” he added.
He further urged the party to streamline its active engagement and trust for its members, warning of a risk of alienating its supporters.
