The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a public appeal to help identify a suspect linked to the ongoing murder investigation of Reverend Julius Ndumia Ngari of PCEA Tabuga Church in Nakuru North Sub-County.
In a statement, the DCI released two images of the individual believed to possess information that could help detectives identify additional accomplices.
“As the investigations progress, detectives are seeking the publicβs assistance in identifying an individual captured in the images below. The first image is the original photograph obtained during investigations, while the second is a digitally enhanced version generated from the original image to improve visibility of identifiable features,β the statement read.
“Both images depict the same individual, who is considered a person of interest and is believed to possess information that could significantly advance the investigation and assist in identifying additional accomplices”, the authority added.
Detectives have therefore urged anyone with information that may assist in identifying the individual to report to the nearest police station or submit information anonymously through its Fichua Kwa DCI platform.
The authority further revealed that investigations remain active, with detectives continuing to pursue fresh leads linked to the murder of the cleric that occurred on May 3.
Furthermore, investigators are profiling other individuals of interest as part of efforts to establish the full circumstances surrounding the killing.
Additionally, DCI provided fresh details on the progress of the case involving two suspects previously arrested in connection with the murder.
The suspects were arrested following extensive forensic analyses and intelligence-led investigations by multiple units and are linked to a notorious gang involved in a series of robberies in Nakuru.
They are set for pre-trial on June 17 as investigations continue.
