A Grade 9 student at CITAM Schools Ngong was reported dead after falling from the rooftop of a school building on Monday morning.

The incident was confirmed by the school in a statement sent to parents and guardians, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to the statement, the Head of School and members of staff responded immediately after the learner fell.

According to reports, the student was given urgent medical attention before being rushed to Karen Hospital in consultation with her parents, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

CITAM Schools said the incident was reported at Ngong Police Station shortly after it occurred.

Additionally, it is cooperating with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other relevant authorities as investigations are conducted.

“Following the incident, the school administration proceeded to Ngong Police Station to officially report the matter. We are fully cooperating with the relevant authorities, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI),” the statement read.
