DCI Arrests Juja MP at His Residence for Interrogation

Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi has been arrested.

He was reportedly arrested on 18th February 2025 outside his residence in Kenyatta Road, Juja.

His arrest was confirmed by Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa.

“DCI at it again. They have arrested Juja MP George Koimburi. Reason? They are yet to say!” he wrote.

The news was also confirmed by Ndegwa Njiru who claimed that Koimburi had been arrested for previously commenting on Raila’s AUC election campaign.

According to reports, Koimburi was apprehended for claiming that the government spent some Ksh13billion campaigning for Raila Odinga in the African Union Commission (AUC) elections.

He made the remarks during a church service accusing the Head of State of using taxpayer’s money lure African President’s to vote for the Former Prime Minister as the Chairperson for AUC.

He added that the funds could have been better utilized to complete government projects across the country.
