Elvis Murakana, the son of Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi, is dead.
Elvis passed away on Tuesday, March 25, after allegedly succumbing to injuries sustained during a grisly road accident.
He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and was receiving treatment until his passing.

Taking to social media, President Ruto led leaders in sending out a condolence message to Elachi on the evening of Tuesday.
“May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,” Ruto stated.
Moreover the Orange Democratic Party, which sponsored Elachi to the Dagoretti North seat, also sent out their commiserations.
“May God grant Hon. Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and her family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief,” ODM stated in a statement.
Busia county woman representative Catherine Omanyo was also part of the leaders who condoled with Elachi.
Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai also consoled Elachi.
“It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the tragic loss of your son, Elvis Murakana.As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time,” Alai stated.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru also this morning sent her condolences to MP Beatrice Elach and her family.
“My heartfelt condolences to you, my sister, Hon. Beatrice Elachi, and your family on the loss of your son, Elvis Murakana. May God grant you strength and fortitude, and surround you with His peace during this very difficult time.”
