Court Hands Nigerian Man 8-Year Sentence Over Ksh890,000 Cocaine Haul

A Nigerian man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after he was found guilty of trafficking narcotic drugs worth Ksh.890,800 in Nairobi.

The Milimani Law Courts Judge ruled that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt against Alabi Tunde Lateef.

The court heard that on September 11, 2017, Lateef was found trafficking by conveying 75.4 grammes of cocaine, with a street value of Ksh.377,000, near the General Post Office (GPO) in Nairobi’s Central Business District.

He was also found trafficking by storing 102.7 grammes of cocaine worth Ksh.513,800 in the Mwiki area of Kasarani.
