Court Fines Man Over Fake Academic Papers in Ksh8.5M Govt Job Scam

A senior clerk at the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NCWSC) has been fined Ksh8.5 million for forging certificates.

The official had reportedly used a falsified Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate to gain employment in 2011.

The certificate forgery made him earn Ksh. 8 million over the years.

The convict was charged with multiple counts, including forgery, fraudulent acquisition of public property, deceiving a principal, and uttering a false document.

The convict was fined Ksh8,543,562, or serve four years in prison.
