Court Adjourns Again In Mlolongo Three Abduction Case Due To Absence of IG Kanja And DCI Amin

Inspector General of police Douglas Kanja and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Amin Mohammed have failed to appear in court again.

They had been directed by Justice Chacha Mwita to produce three men who had been reportedly abducted in Mlolongo on December 16th, 2024, whether dead or alive and also appear personally in court.

However, IG Douglas Kanja and DCI boss Amin Mohammed wanted to set aside orders requiring their presence in court over the alleged disappearance of the three men.

Through their advocate Paul Nyamodi, the two said there is no proof of service that\’s on record as required by law.

On the other hand, the petitioners led by the Law Society of Kenya said they were served properly.

Justice Mwita responded by stating the orders he issued on January 8th and 13th requiring the IG and the DCI to produce the three missing in court whether dead or alive.

The three missing men namely Justus Mutumwa, Martin Mwau and Karani Muema also stated that they were initially denied access to the court, and it took the intervention of the deputy registrar to grant them entry as said by Lawyer Dan Maazo.

With the hearing is still pending, the High Court will on Thursday next weel rule whether it will set aside order requiring the presence of IG Douglas Kanja and DCI boss Amin in court over the alleged abduction.
