Cartoonist Kibet Bull has been released after his abduction in Nairobi.
He was abducted by suspected security officials on December 24th, 2024, after meeting Busia Senator Okiyah Omtata.
His family confirmed of his return on Monday 6th January 2024 noting that he had since returned to Nakuru.

They dropped me in Luanda Vihiga at 3-4 am leo. Sikuwa najua where to enter or book a room. Kidogo form ya disco matanga came in, danced mpaka 6AM when I went to book a ticket.

Families of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli and Rony Kiplagat also reported contact with their loved ones.
The National Police service also released a statement that Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti and Rony Kiplagat had returned safely to their families.
Their cases had been reported at Embu police station, Kabete police station and Thogoto police station respectively.
This was after high tension of the rising number of abductions in Kenya which raised a lot of concern.
Kenyans had started protesting for them to be released since it didn’t seem right allegedly at some point blaming the government.
