Campbell Scott Murder: Suspects Detained for 21 More Days

Two suspects alleged to have killed British businessman Campbell Scott will remain in remand for another 21 days.

This will be to enable the police to include investigations.

They were arrested on March 1 2025, along the Nairobi-Mombasa Road.

The suspects identified as Alex Mutua Kithuka and Albunus Mutinda Nzioki were presented before magistrate Lukas Onyina on Monday, 3, 2025.

“The application meets the requirements of the constitution, the two to be held in police custody for 21 days as sought”, the magistrate said.

According to the investigation, the deceased was taken to Mutua’s house in Pipeline, Nairobi, where it is believed he was murdered.

The prosecution stated that the two suspects allegedly attempted to access money using Scott’s credit cards in Nairobi, Voi and Mombasa.

Reports further indicate that the first suspect had already removed his belongings from his Pipeline residence.

“His phone and credit cards are yet to be recovered. Due to the seriousness of the case, the applicant is apprehensive that if released on bail at this time, they will not attend the court,” the court heard.

The case will be mentioned on March 21, 2025.
