Renowned reggae and dancehall hypeman MC Fullstop, whose real name was John Maina, has passed away.
Reports indicate that he died after a long battle with tuberculosis on Friday, August 1, 2025.
MC Fullstop had been battling a severe illness for several years. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) in 2021, which led to the collapse of his lungs.
Full stop had initially confirmed plans to readjust his lifestyle and live with one lung.
The MC gained fame for his reggae mixes, which were especially popular in the 2000s.
The reggae hypeman toured East Africa and hosted numerous events.
He also served as a media personality, co-hosting popular shows such as Riddim Vybz on K24 TV and Reggae Boyz on NRG Radio.
