Bournemouth Extend Perfect European Run with Comeback Victory over Sparta Prague

Bournemouth continued their impressive European debut after coming from behind to defeat Sparta Prague 3-1 away from home in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, November 5, securing a fourth consecutive victory in the competition.

The hosts made a strong start and took the lead through Ebrima Singhateh, whose solo effort gave Sparta Prague an early advantage and put Bournemouth under pressure.

The match turned further in Bournemouth’s favour before half-time when Sparta defender Tobias Guddal was sent off, leaving the Czech side to continue with ten players.

Bournemouth also missed an opportunity to equalise after Lewis Cook’s penalty struck the post.

The visitors eventually found their breakthrough after the interval through substitute Tyler Adams, who reacted quickest to a loose ball near the edge of the penalty area to level the score.

Bournemouth completed the turnaround through fellow substitutes Evanilson and Rayan, who scored to secure a convincing 3-1 victory.

Rayan’s goal was his third of the Europa League campaign.

The result maintained Bournemouth’s perfect record in their debut European campaign, taking them to 12 points from four matches and keeping them among the leading teams in the league-phase standings.
