A 24-year-old female teacher was brutally killed by her husband following a domestic altercation in Bomet County.
The incident which happened on Monday night left the local community in shock and mourning.
Reports indicate that the deceased’s body was discovered within the family compound, lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts to her head and hand that appeared to have been inflicted with a panga.
According to police reports, the couple had a history of recurring domestic disputes, and relatives had attempted to mediate but failed.
Further reports indicate that the suspect fled the scene after the attack.
Police have now launched investigations towards the matter, revealing that the murder weapon has not yet been found.
The deceased’s body has been moved to Longisa Hospital Mortuary.
