Hotel owner in Bomet County has been arrested after health officials discovered that he was unlawfully selling flamingo meat to unsuspecting customers.
The owner was apprehended during an impromptu operation led by Director of Public Health Leonard Lang’at from the Department of Health Services and County Public Health Officer Felix Langat.
During the raid, officers found freshly supplied flamingo meat stored at the hotel, some of which was already being cooked.
