The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers have nabbed a suspect caught with a government uniform.
The 33-year-old man was caught after threatening to assault and kill.
The DCI, in a statement released on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 stated that the suspect was captured at Itiko village after a search was conducted at his home.
Upon conducting further investigations, the recovered items of clothing belonging to the Administration Police Service (APS) and the National Youth Service (NYS).
Among the items recovered were Senior APS officer’s sweater, a green jungle sweater, three jungle belts. two pairs of APS trousers, three black berets, three jungle t-shirts and four pairs of green socks.
Others were NYS green sweater and two NYS shirts.
The suspect is initially in custody as he awaits arraignment to be charged in court.
This comes weeks after a gang of robbers posing as police officers raided a petrol station in Wajir.
The suspects were caught and were found in possession of a mallet, an AP jungle jacket, a military jungle trouser, a military jungle jacket and other incriminating items.
