Amazon’s Kuiper launched its first 27 satellites into space on Monday, April 29, 2025.
The satellites are the first of 3,246 that Amazon plans to send into low-Earth orbit for the project Kuiper.
The batch of 27 satellites was lofted into space at 7 p.m. from the rocket company’s launch pad at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
A previous attempt to launch the satellites was scrubbed off sue to bad weather on April 9, 2025.

With the launch, Amazon formally enters a crowded and fast-growing field rivalling Starlink in the Satellite internet race.
Amazon now plans to accelerate launches in the coming months and years with more than 80 flights booked through United Launch Alliance.
Its satellite will gradually join the swelling ranks of low Earth orbit, alongside Starlink, Europe’s OneWeb and China’s Guowang constellation.
Although the pricing has not been revealed, Amazon has pledged it will align with its reputation as a low-cost retailer.
