A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate in Nakuru succumbed to injuries on Sunday morning after he was stabbed during a fight with another student on Saturday night.
The Gilgil Deputy County Commissioner Willy Cheboi confirmed the incident and noted that the tragic incident happened amid the ongoing national examinations
The candidate was pronounced dead at Nakuru Level 6 Hospital.
The police have however arrested the four students, one who stabbed the candidate and three accomplices, they are now in custody.
Reports indicated that four students disagreed over personal items destroyed in school which led to the incident that occurred at around 8:00 pm.
In a press briefing, the police boss expressed concern about how the killer knife found its way into the school’s vicinity.
“We can’t tell how they acquired the knife but the students there are notorious.’’
The body of the deceased has since been transferred to the Nakuru morgue waiting for an autopsy examination.
