Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has rescheduled the launching of his new political party.
Speaking during a broadcast interview on Sunday 9th February 2025 in his Nyeri residence, Gachagua announced that the launching of his political party will take place in May.
The former DP had announced earlier that he would unveil his political party on January 31st, 2025, which failed.
He therefore promised his supporters that the launching would take place in weeks’ time which has led to further push to May which is months away.
Gachagua also disclosed that he will not reveal the name of the Political Party.
“I will not announce the party’s name today, but the party is ready and is a good party with good constitution. Everything is done but we shall launch the party in a very colorful ceremony that will be held in Nairobi at avenue to be announced. Tus will enable us all to come together from all parts of the country so that we launch our party. From there all systems will be ready to roll” he said.
He further stated that his reason to delay the political party’s name was to avoid confusion for the people of Mount Kenya as there are plans to launch more political parties in the region.
