Police Bullets Held to a 1-1 Draw by Ulinzi in the Military Derby

Kenya Police Bullets FC failed to extend the gap at the top of the table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ulinzi Starlets at Ruaraka Grounds.

Ulinzi Stars Starting XI: Judith Osimbo(GK), Sophy Adhiambo, Tabitha Barasa, Margret Odiro, Mary Ojenje, Lavender Akinyi, Fasila Adhiambo, Sheril Andiba, Kinglady Oriyo, Mercy Airo, Siliya Rasoha.

Kenya Police Bullets Starting XI: Mishi Mbaru(GK), Mary Nthambi, Elizabeth Ochaka, Norah Anne, Leah Andia, Jane Hato, Vidah Okeyo, Diana Wacera, Rebecca Okwaro, Lucy Kwekwe, Eunice Mwangi.

The match began at a slower pace with both teams playing cautiously to avoid conceding in the early minutes.

The first half was less of a show as it ended in a barren draw.

Ulinzi Starlets were forced to make a change in the 34th minute after their defender Sophy Odhiambo got injured and was replaced by Imma Wangira.

Three minutes back in the second half, Police almost took the lead but they were denied by Ulinzi goal keeper Judith Osimbo.

The coach Beldine Odemba coached side found the back of the net in the 67th minute when Diana Wacera scored from a mix up in the Ulinzi Starlets defence.

Fasila Adhiambo equalised in the 78th minute after a superb freekick from the edge of the box.

Both teams would then stay firm opting for shared spoils.

With the draw, Police Bullets have failed to increase the gap at the top of the table and will await the results of the match between Kibera Soccer Women and Bunyore Starlets.
