KNEC Unveils New Guidelines for KPSEA Exams Registration

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced updates regarding the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

The fresh updates were issued on Friday 31st January 2025.

According to the fresh updates, learners who wish to sit the 2025 KPSEA commenced on 27th January 2025 and will end on 28th February 2025.

Grade 6 learners will be registered afresh through the KPSEA registration portal.

During the updates, KNEC addressed on the correction of candidate’s bio data.

Correction of candidate’s bio data must be effected during registration (where applicable. All candidates must ensure correct spelling and order of their names as documented in the birth certificate, gender, year of birth, citizenship, religious education option registered for and categories of special needs and disabilities.

KNEC stated.

KNEC added that the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Education (MOE) shall pay assessment fees for all learners in public and private schools except for those who are not Kenyan citizens.

Assessment fees for non-citizen learners wishing to register for KPSEA/KILEA is Ksh. 750 payable through the E citizen platform.

KNEC futher stated.
